Xenophobia under Dannebrog

By Carsten Kofoed, Free Iraq Blog of Denmark, April 20, 2008

Recently, three Danish soldiers from the Danish Air Force were exposed as members of the strongly anti-Muslim “The Group against Muslims in Denmark” on Facebook while Nazi leader Jonni Hansen told the Danish daily Ekstra Bladet that at least fifty Nazis are currently “educating themselves” in the Danish military and the Home Guard.

The leadership of the Danish Defence has tried to dissociate itself from the anti-Muslim positions of its soldiers. The soldiers are just the “black sheep” found everywhere. But the Defence’s relation to the truth is just as dubious as Anders Fogh Rasmussen’s. “We have been told that we should see them (the Iraqis, CK) as sub-humans,” Henrik Noebbe, a Danish soldier who was killed in Iraq, told the Danish daily Jyllands-Posten in March 2007.

Islamophobia, chauvinism and master mentality are the ideological fuel in all Western aggressor and occupation armies, including the Danish one, which is why right-extremist forces are thriving exactly there. Democracy and freedom are just the manipulating slogans with which these “supermen” defend their aggressions and war crimes against the “sub-humans” in Iraq and Afghanistan.
