Murderous spin

By Carsten Kofoed, Free Iraq Blog of Denmark, February 13, 2008

Then the Danish Intelligence Service (PET) stroke again. This time, it was against a Dane and two Tunisians, who allegedly wanted to kill the Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, the author of the spiteful, provocative drawing of the Prophet Muhammed with a bomb in his turban that was published by the Danish daily Jyllands-Posten in September 2005.

The PET are saying that they have prevented a murder, but they will not even charge the “murderers”. The Tunisians, who both have family in Denmark, will now be expelled – without any legal proceedings – with the airy phrase “dangerous to national security”. This is suspicious and reprehensible.

Nevertheless, the belligerent politicians in the national parliament – the mass murderers – are rolling in condemnations of “extremists” and praise to the PET. And in the mass media, the Muslims are collectively being held responsible for the “murder plot”.

The “murder plan” is repulsive spin, hatched in the highest power circles, whose purpose is once again to make “terror” present to the Danes and by this reverse the descending popular support for the anti-Muslim “War on terror” which is rapidly on the way to defeat in Iraq as well as in Afghanistan.
