The real terrorists

The terrorist case against four Muslims from Vollsmose (an immigrant ghetto in Odense, the third largest city in Denmark, translator’s note) has been grotesque right from the start. Evidence from an extremely active agent of the Danish Intelligence Service was the “proof”. No terrorist acts or any documentation of concrete terror plans, just a lot of nonsense about “preparing terror.”

The “sentences” are political because in a legal system, where the Minister of Justice is an international war criminal due to the illegal aggressions in Iraq and Afghanistan that she is supporting, justice cannot be done.

It is entirely tragic-comic that the “Terror Law” under which the accused have been sentenced, says that a person may be sentenced to up till lifetime in prison for assisting in “destroying the fundamental political, constitutional, economic and social structures of a country”. This has just happened in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Therefore: The real terrorists are sitting in the Danish government and Parliament, with lots of innocent Muslim blood on their hands. But these people are being protected by the legal system here.

How I understand the anger of the convicted at the hypocrisy and injustice in Denmark!

Published in the four Danish dailies B.T., Ekstra Bladet, MetroXpress (November 26, 2007) and Nordjyske Stiftstidende (November 27, 2007). Note: Three of the four accused Muslims were convicted (two Danes, both 34 years old, and one Iraqi at age 22) on November 23, 2007. Two got eleven years in prison and one of them, the Iraqi, will be expelled from Denmark after serving his sentence. The third received four years imprisonment.
