Withdrawal instead of tanks

By Carsten Kofoed, Free Iraq Blog of Denmark, September 27, 2007

Two Danish soldiers have died after fighting in Helmand province in Afghanistan. When even support from combat helicopters could not save the Danes, then what can four Leopard tanks do against an Afghan resistance that has just become stronger and stronger?

The problem of the Danish soldiers in Afghanistan is that they are occupiers and mercenaries for the US. They are waging a war against a people that simply does not want them. The Quisling regime of Karzai, which they are defending, has no popular legitimacy at all and would fall immediately after the withdrawal of the ISAF occupation force.

Led by the Taliban, the Muslim Afghan people is fighting for its freedom and independence. Six years of Western terror have not been able to kill the Afghans’ desire for freedom, and they will expel the Western occupiers the same way the Soviets and Britons were expelled historically. Thirteen Danes have fallen in Iraq and Afghanistan. Enough is enough.

Denmark out of Afghanistan and Iraq – now!
