War criminals and traitors

By Carsten Kofoed, Free Iraq Blog of Denmark, June 22, 2007

The case about the twenty-one Iraqi translators, who have been helping the Danish occupation troops, is continuing. The Danish government, which has committed the biggest international crime by launching, together with the US, the unprovoked and illegal aggression against Iraq, is refusing to grant asylum to the translators while the opposition (including the “Socialist” Red-Green Alliance which has officially been opposed to the war and to the occupation, translator’s note) is demanding exactly that here and now.

The whole thing is deeply immoral. The Iraqi translators are traitors who have been helping the occupying power at the expense of their own people. Therefore, they have also incurred a responsibility for its enormous crimes against the Iraqi people, including the far more than 665,000 Iraqis that have died because of the aggression of the Coalition.

The opposition should use its energy on ensuring the Iraqi people justice by bringing the Western war makers, including Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen, to account for their war crimes in Iraq instead of providing impunity for treacherous Iraqi tongues whom the Iraqi Resistance – the only legitimate representative of the Iraqi people – rightly demands to be handed over for prosecution after the liberation.
